To continue the New York trip I'll begin the rundown of Saturday, August 10th...
One of the most exciting aspects of going to New York was taking a tour of the Fashion Institute of Technology. During the tour we were shown the classrooms and all of the other facilities. They also have an impressive amount of clubs/student organizations. After the tour we were taken to an assembly that talked about money, classes, etc. All in all the we were at the campus for about 2-21/2 hours.
This is a rough estimate of the cost of going to FIT (sorry about the bad quality). |
After touring the Fashion Institute of Technology my family and I went to Bryant Park for lunch. We went to the B.P. Cafe where I got a Caesar salad and we all shared fries.
Me and my dad! I got my top at H&M and my sunglasses are from American Eagle Outfitters. |
My bracelets from left to right are from AEO, H&M, the beaded one was a gift, and the last one was also from AEO. |
We went to Central Park to enjoy the weather after finishing our lunch. It's so beautiful there and refreshing to get away from the crowded streets.
On the far left you can see a violinist who drew a good sized crowd. She played along to Someone Like You by Adele as well as some other songs. You can actually find her here. |
One of the last things we did on Saturday was go to the famous Carnegie Deli.
They even give you unlimited pickles during your dinner! |
Throughout the whole restaurant pictures of celebrities and well known people line the walls. |
Me and my mom :) |
My parents and I went to see Jersey Boys after dinner. You should definitely see it if you get the chance! The actors and the music are amazing but the language gets pretty bad if you are opposed to swearing. In other words, it's not the best thing for impressionable little kids to watch.
Not much happened after the show besides walking back to our hotel and settling in for the night. However, New York Day 3(our last day) will be posted soon!
