When we got off the plane we headed to our hotel, The New Yorker. The view from our hotel room overlooked Madison Square Garden. The New Yorker was in a busy area and was old, but very nice. I probably heard more French and Russian than my own language during the elevator rides.
We didn't spend much time in our hotel room. So after freshening up from the flight we headed to a boat tour. The tour took a semi circle around the island of Manhattan. I actually fell asleep and was jolted awake a couple times. It was a cloudy day but still warm and breezy.
If you've ever seen Project Runway you'll know about Mood. My mom wanted to stop by for fabric to make new couch pillows and we saw two past Project Runway contestants! We got the signature black canvas bag too.
To finish off a long day my family and I went to Don Giovanni's for dinner and it was SO GOOD. I recommend it. Our food came out quickly, it was delicious and the service was great.
New York Day 2 will be up soon!
